The UPS Foundation has donated $7 million to more than 80 non-profit organisations whose missionis to support diverse populations.
UPS said these grants will fund diversity programmes that develop leadership skills, promoteeducation and encourage inclusion of all individuals.
One of the organisations receiving grants is The Human Rights Campaign. The programme to besupported is the HRC Foundation’s Workplace Project, which encourages fair workplace inclusionpractices through benefits, diversity programs and recruitment practices.
Another organisation to be supported is The National Council of La Raza with the continuedexpansion of its regional Affiliate Network which is a diverse network of community-basedorganisations that support the needs of Hispanic Americans.
Other organisations to profit from the grants include The National Urban League, The AlexanderGraham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, The Paralysed Veterans of America and TheNational Federation of the Blind, among others.

UPS’s diversity programme also is aimed at attracting and retaining talented employees. AllenHill, senior vice president of human resources for UPS, explained: “UPS not only provides careeropportunities to people of varying ethnicities, religions, ages, genders, mental and physicaldisabilities and sexual orientations, but also supports its workforce through targeted developmentprogrammes like its Women’s Leadership Development and Diversity Leadership Developmentinitiatives.”
