Leading Italian parcels delivery company Bartolini has continued its network expansion with theopening of three new depots this week.
On January 10, the company opened a new terminal at Landriano, close to Milan. The new branch,equipped with an automatic package sorting system, covers an area of 11,000 sqm. Located 11km fromthe Melegnano motorway exit and 22 kilometres from Milan city centre, the new branch will serve theentire area to the south-west of Milan and also the province of Pavia.
The terminal is next door to a new Bartolini logistics facility covering 37,000 sqm. This isequipped with the very latest technology for managing all areas of distribution logistics – fromreception and stock management right through to production support and outgoing logistics.
Also on January 10 Bartolini opened a new 7,000 sqm terminal at Naples Casandrino. The newbranch is equipped with an automatic package sorting system and will be serving the city of Naples,the industrial zone to the east of Naples and the province of Salerno to the north of the city. Thenew terminal is 15 kilometres from the Caserta Sud motorway exit, 3 kilometres from the S.Antimo toCasandrino highway and 10 kilometres from the city centre.
Thirdly, a new branch was opened at Genola, south of Turin, on the same day. The 1,000 sqmfacility serves a large area of the province to the north-west and south of Genola (Fossano,Savigliano, Saluzzo, Barge, Bagnolo) and the Varaita and Po valleys. It is 10 km from the Fossanomotorway exit and 5 km from the city centre.
