DHL road freight services expanded to Georgia

DHL said today it is now offering enhanced road freight services to Georgia by expanding itssuccessful DHL Euroconnect product to the country.

DHL Freight now provides groupage, or less-than-truckload, services with regular line hauls toand from the Caucasus region via gateways in Vienna and Frankfurt. Georgia also serves as thegateway to Armenia and Azerbaijan, which are connected through Tbilisi.
 
“Expanding into this market and other new markets adjacent to Europe, such as Georgia, allowsus to serve international companies transporting goods to and from these regions and accompany themas they strengthen their commercial ties there,” explained Thomas George, CEO of DHL Freight.

In line with its strategy to bolster profitable growth in new markets, DHL Freight alreadyexpanded its Euroconnect service to Morocco and Tunisia last year.

As with the entire Euroconnect network, track and trace services are available to customers onthe new Caucasus trade lane. DHL Freight’s high-quality transport and handling operations as wellas cargo security standards apply to all groupage shipments door-to-door.

DHL Euroconnect is the high-quality, international all-in-one road groupage product forpalletized and non-palletized general cargo as well as products requiring special care andcompliance, such as hazardous goods (ADR), goods requiring temperature control and high-valueshipments. DHL Freight also offers confirmed door-to-door delivery times with more than 2,000international regular lines across more than 50 countries, many of which operate daily.

In addition, DHL Euroconnect sets standards in terms of environmental friendliness. Customerscan request a report on the CO2 emitted during transport of their shipments.
