DHL Express UK was selected to deliver the latest Harry Potter film ‘Harry Potter and theDeathly Hallows: Part 1’ to more than 550 cinemas across the UK and Ireland for its premiere last
Friday.DHL said the delivery of the first installment of the film franchise finale which is one of thisyear’s biggest film releases marks the largest distribution for its cinema division to date. Demandfor the film has been incredible, with cinemas in every corner of the UK ordering reels, thecompany added.
In just 48 hours, over 100 DHL couriers carried 26 tonnes of film across the UK using planes,lorries, vans and ferries. With the rise of illegal copying and sharing of films, DHL put a highemphasis on maintaining security of the reels throughout their journey.
