This way, the recipient does not have to collect it froma post office or a Post Partner branch.

The Premium light Parcel is available to Austrian Post’s customers with immediate effect and thefirst parcels will be shipped across Austria in the next few days.

Austrian Post said the new product represents a stronger orientation towards customers’ needs.Carl-Gerold Mende, board member responsible for the Parcel & Logistics Division, commented:“This kind of parcel is unique and cannot be offered by any competitor especially at this pricewhich is significantly below €2.”

The parcel stamp is a sticker in the A5 format with an imprinted bar code and fields for theaddress of the shipper and the recipients as well as various additional services. The prices of theparcel stamp are calculated according to the sizes of the parcel and not the weight. The customerhas to choose the desired parcel stamp, fill in the obligatory fields and can already pay onlineafter defining the additional services. The parcel stamp can be printed conveniently from home andstuck to the parcel to be handed in at the post office or a Post Partner branch.
