FedEx Trade Networks, the growing FedEx ocean and air freight forwarding business, is furtherexpanding its presence in Europe with five additional offices as part of its aggressive growth
strategy.The new offices are located in Budapest, Hungary; Prague, Czech Republic; Madrid, Spain; Milan,Italy; and Antwerp, Belgium.
FedEx said the new offices will benefit customers in numerous ways including enhanced globalfreight forwarding services and end-to-end multimodal solutions, direct access to local personnelwith industry experience and expertise, and expanded regional access to services like FedExInternational Direct Distribution and Global Order Logistics.
“Budapest, Prague, Madrid and Milan are all important air hubs in Central and Southern Europeand the Port of Antwerp is one of the world’s busiest seaports,” said Fred Schardt, president andCEO of FedEx Trade Networks. “By continuing to expand our operations in Europe and across theglobe, we are able to provide our customers a fully integrated supply chain that is driven by thereliability of the FedEx brand.”
The office in Antwerp is the second FedEx Trade Networks office to open in Belgium afterBrussels, which accommodates its air freight forwarding operations in the country.
As part of an aggressive global expansion plan, the Memphis-based company has opened a total of33 new offices across the globe since 2008, in addition to its more than 70 locations in the USAand Canada. The international locations include Germany (Frankfurt and Hamburg) the United ArabEmirates, Poland (Gdynia and Warsaw), Belgium, United Kingdom (Manchester and London), France(Paris), The Netherlands (Amsterdam and Rotterdam), India (Mumbai and Chennai), Mexico, Brazil,Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen,Qingdao, Tianjin, Xiamen, Dalian and Ningbo. The company also has a representative office inVietnam.
