Parcelforce Worldwide launches new bulk overseas service

Parcelforce Worldwide

Parcelforce Worldwide, Royal Mail’s UK parcel division, has launched a new bulk overseas serviceallowing businesses of all sizes to deliver low-cost tracked exports to overseas customers.

It claims its Global Bulk Direct service improves competitiveness of UK exports, enablingcompanies to package multiple overseas deliveries into a single pallet, rather than sending eachone separately. This way, they can achieve significant cost-savings, without compromising onsecurity or losing tracking capability.

The service combines Parcelforce Worldwide’s global reach with its local expertise in overseasmarkets through its network of international partners and expands on the company’s existing rangeof export services.

With the new solution, exporters can send multiple parcels with different addresses in the samecountry on a single pallet weighing up to 1,000 kg. On arrival, each pallet is broken down, withindividual parcels then dispatched to their respective addresses.

The delivery with Global Bulk Direct takes between two and eight days depending on thedestination and provides a cheaper alternative for deliveries where price is more important thanspeed. However, businesses still receive the benefits of priority services such as product trackingand signature on delivery.

As an additional advantage, the environmental impact of overseas delivery is reduced throughshipping multiple parcels in a single pallet.

Simon Batt, international director at Parcelforce Worldwide, said: “We’re continuing to listento our customers and support their needs as they look to drive their business through increasedexports. The launch of our Global Bulk Direct product is the latest enhancement to our suite ofinternational offerings, and will now enable us to meet a wider range of international customerdelivery needs, further boosting our position as a trusted high-value carrier to UK businesses.”& amp; amp; amp; amp; lt; /p>

This meanscustomers can expect consistently high levels of customer service and reliability whilst benefitingfrom a far-reaching, locally based delivery network.”

Royal Mail stressed that the parcel delivery market already plays a key role in driving exportgrowth, which is vital for UK’s economic recovery.
