German consumer parcels operator Hermes has launched a new shipping interface enabling onlineshop operators to handle the whole shipping process directly on online market places or via their
individual shop software.With the new e-commerce complete solution, the trader has an overview of all operations from theproduct order to payment and delivery without having to change the software, Hermes announced.
Hermes partners such as afterbuy, AuctionStudio, Channeladvisor, Cluedes, DreamrobotElectronicSales, Mauve Mailorder Software und Speed4Trade already provide this direct connection tothe Hermes shipping system. Other partnerships will be concluded within the next few months, thecompany added.
With the integration of the interface, providers of e-commerce software and online marketplacescan expand their service portfolio while profiting from the Hermes brand as a renowned shippingoperator. “Customers ordering online expect delivery within a short period of time. With theshipping interface, we help the online trader to organise the delivery of his shipments in aquicker and a more comfortable way and thus increase customer satisfaction,” said Frank Iden,Director Marketing and Sales at Hermes.
Users of the shipping interface pass their pick-up orders to the Hermes WebService within theirshop systems so the parcels can be picked up at the online trader and delivered to the onlineshopper. Thereby, parcel labels and shipping numbers are generated automatically within therespective software. In addition, the sender receives an e-mail for tracking the shipment that hecan forward it to his customer. This way, the customer can directly track the parcel.
In addition, the solution offers the proven benefits of the Hermes Profi Parcel Service such asthe liability up to €500 for each shipment, the delivery of COD items, four delivery attempts orinternational shipping to over 20 countries of the European Union.
