Deutsche Post DHL with leading positions in sustainability rankings

Deutsche Post DHL goes green

Deutsche Post DHL has been listed again in the leading capital market indices for sustainabilityactivities, the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index and

the FTSE4 Good Global Index.

Each year these indices re-evaluate the sustainability efforts and results of companiesaccording to strict criteria, thus creating an important decision basis for sustainability-orientedinvestors.

Deutsche Post DHL said it has been listed in the FTSE4 Good since 2004. The group has nowperformed impressively in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe Index for the second yearin succession by achieving high ratings in the economic and social criteria and an outstanding 97%in the ecological criteria of the sustainability ranking.

The excellent results of Deutsche Post DHL were also highlighted in this year’s “Global 500Report” by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). CDP is a non-profit organization which rates theclimate protection data and strategies of the world’s largest companies on behalf of some 534investors worldwide who manage assets totalling around $64 trillion.

The “Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index” rates companies according to their reporting of climatedata and how they approach the issue of climate change in operational and strategic terms. Here,the group came second in a global comparison, scoring 97 out of a possible 100 points. DeutschePost DHL was also among the top ten percent of the world’s 500 leading companies that achieved thehighest rating in the “Carbon Performance Leadership Index”.

As part of its Strategy 2015, Deutsche Post DHL has defined sustainable management as a keyaspect of its future growth strategy. The main pillars of the sustainability approach consist ofacting in a responsible way towards employees and investors and, in particular, of the socialcommitment and environmental protection programs which Deutsche Post DHL has brought together underthe umbrella of “Living Responsibility”.
