FedEx China supports social activities during FedEx Cares Week

FedEx Cares Week in China

FedEx China is supporting various social activities initiated by its employees as part of theannual FedEx Cares Week taking place from 11-19 September in the country.

For a third consecutive year in China, FedEx employees are donating their time and talents togive back to the community where they live and work.

Joining over 500 FedEx volunteers in 11 Asian markets, more than 330 FedEx China volunteers arenow taking part in 19 community activities in 13 cities around the country. During the week-longevent, FedEx China volunteers will commit to a range of activities including caring for theelderly; taking children with special needs on outings; playing games, holding a clothing drive aswell as cleaning and enhancing schools, parks, and community centres.

“FedEx is an advocate of giving back to our local communities through action,” said David L.Cunningham Jr., president, FedEx Express Asia Pacific. “I am proud of our volunteers who havedemonstrated how to connect the world in a responsible and resourceful manner through volunteerism,and by doing their bit to enhancing the environment in the communities.”

“Our employees embody that passion with their commitment to volunteer and make a difference intheir communities,” said Eddy Chan, senior vice president, FedEx China.

First launched in the USA in 2005, FedEx Cares Week will be celebrated from 17-25 September inthe U.S., Europe, and the Latin America/ Caribbean regions.
