TNT Post Germany has secured an extended contract with major telecommunications companyVersatel, whose mail will be delivered CO2-neutral in future.
Under the new contract, TNT Post will continue to deliver Versatel’s complete business mailafter having demonstrated its quality and reliability to the long-standing customer. The contractvalue and volume were not disclosed.
“Mail delivery is a question of trust. Versatel has given us its trust for many years. We arethus delighted that we can continue our cooperation with them in future,” commented Michael Mews,TNT Post Germany sales director responsible for major accounts.
Moreover, Versatel has decided to switch its volumes to the environmentally-friendly ‘100!ProKlima’ delivery option. TNT Post Germany will calculate the CO2 emissions generated by Versateldeliveries and compensate them through diverse certified climate and environmental protectionprojects which are approved by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
According to the mail company, more than 100 of its customers have so far chosen the CO2-neutraldelivery option, which was launched last November.
