UPS ranked leading parcel operator in Poland

UPS has been rated the small package market leader in Poland based on two independent surveyswhich were sponsored by regional media publications.

The surveys, one sponsored by the Polish daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita and the other by thetrade magazines Eurologistics and Truck & Biznes, concluded that UPS Polska has grown into thelargest courier or logistics company in Poland by a number of different measures.

Rzeczpospolita ranked UPS as No. 1 based on income, the range of services and the company’s paceof development within Poland. The leading position in the magazine’s Top 500 survey was based onmanagement efficiency and earnings, UPS stated.

The Rzeczpospolita survey was conducted with a team of experts from the Warsaw School ofEconomics and a financial publication known as Monitor Polski B while the two trade publicationsengaged the Data Group Consulting Co. to assist with their review.

“Both awards are hugely important to us because the rankings give the big picture of our entireindustry here and indicate the best market players,” said Piotr Sitarek, General Manager UPSPolska. We’ve been working very hard for a very long time to achieve this leadership position andview the awards as an affirmation of our emphasis on providing superior customer service.”

UPS Polska was established through UPS acquiring Messenger Service Stolica S.A., a largedomestic delivery service within Poland, in 2005. Today, UPS Polska not only operates on thedomestic level but also effects extensive import and export shipping for Polish customers.
