FedEx has been recognised for customer satisfaction and its IT standards in two renownedsurveys.
The company was ranked number one in customer satisfaction in the Express Delivery industry, aswell as first among all companies whose customers are surveyed in this month’s report by theUniversity of Michigan’s American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI). The June 2010 ACSIreport covers customer satisfaction with the quality of products and services provided by airlines,hotels, restaurants, fast food and express delivery services.
The June 2010 scores place FedEx at the head of the Express Delivery industry, with a score of85 out of 100. The industry average for 2010 is 83. FedEx has ranked number one in the ExpressDelivery industry for 13 consecutive years and for 14 of the last 15 years.
The ACSI is the only national, cross-industry measure of the quality of U.S. economic outputand scores companies based on customer expectations, quality, value and intention tore-purchase.
Meanwhile, FedEx has also been named a “Best Place to Work in IT” by Computerworld Magazine. Forthe ninth time in 10 years, IDG’s Computerworld named FedEx as a 2010 Best Places to Work in IThonoree. In recognizing FedEx, the magazine cited the company’s recognition and training programsthat encourage innovation and personal development.
The list recognizes 100 organizations that challenge their IT staff while providing greatbenefits and compensation. Consistently ranked among the world’s most admired and respectedemployers, FedEx inspires its team members to remain “absolutely, positively” focused on safety,the highest ethical and professional standards and the needs of their customers and communities.

This represents the third significant honor for the FedEx IT team in June. In addition tobeing named a “Best Place to Work in IT,” the company was also recognized by CIO Magazine on its “CIO 100” list in its June issue, and FedEx CIO Robert B. Carter was named one of the “100 MostCreative People in Business” in the June issue of Fast Company.
