FedEx Express today announced the appointment of Gerald P. Leary as regional president of itsEurope, Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa (EMEA) region.
Leary will succeed Robert W. Elliott, who is retiring from FedEx Express. Leary will be based atthe company’s European headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
A seasoned leader, Leary joined the company in 1974, and has served in a number of keymanagement roles at both FedEx Express and FedEx Trade Networks. He is currently senior vicepresident, European Operations. In his new role, Leary will be responsible for the leadership andstrategic direction of FedEx Express EMEA.
“Jerry’s demonstrated ability to lead and his in-depth transport operations experience make himan excellent choice as the new Regional President for EMEA,” said David J. Bronczek, president andchief executive officer of FedEx Express. “We appreciate Bob Elliott’s many years of service to ourorganisation,” Bronczek added.
