German courier Flashline re-brands as Flash Europe

German courier company Flashline has re-branded under the name Flash Europe following itsacquisition by the French-owned group two years ago.

Now operating as Flash Europe Deutschland GmbH, the company aims through the re-branding to showits membership of the Flash Europe group, which has been created over the last few years by theacquisitions of French courier Taxicolis from La Poste and Flashline in Germany, and theirsubsequent merger. The group had turnover of €89 million in 2009 and transported some 250,000consignments.

Flash Europe can now offer customers a wide international network that covers 78 countriesworldwide. In Europe, it has 35 offices in 11 countries, and has access to capacity in 4,000vehicles and 600 planes.

“This allows us to respond to our local customers’ needs because we are present locally and wespeak the national language,” explained Frederik Luz, Managing Director Central Europe.

Flash Europe has developed transport solutions for the automotive industry for the past 30 yearswith over 50% of the Top 100 automotive suppliers on the company’s customer list. Following themerger with Taxicolis, Flash Europe has been able to focus on other industries such as thehealthcare and banking sectors.

“The combination of specific industry experience and international expertise makes us into astrong professional partner for urgent transport solutions,” stressed Philippe Higelin, CEO of theLuxembourg-based Flash Group.
