Night express specialist TNT Innight grew strongly in the first three months of this year aftera positive 2009 and extended its market leadership.
The TNT division said it increased its revenues by 8.8% and volumes grew to 4.6 millionshipments. In its core market of Germany, the night express operator increased revenues by 8.1%while volumes rose by 10.7% to 3.4 million. In 2009, TNT Innight delivered a total of 19 millionshipments, or 80,000 per night, including 12.8 million in Germany.
The company, which has subsidiaries in eight European countries and makes deliveries in 26European countries, said the current trend meant it had further strengthened its position asEuropean market leader for night express deliveries.
“The market will offer further growth potential in existing and new sectors in the comingyears,” declared managing director Philip Alliet. “We will continue to show a positive developmentin the future thanks to our comprehensive distribution network in Europe and our readiness toinvest in new, innovative products and solutions,” he added.
