TNT Innight has launched a new weekend service for urgent shipments to be delivered on Fridays,Saturdays and Sundays on request to meet the specific needs of customers working with agricultural
technology. With the new special service, TNT Innight delivers urgently needed spare parts for farmers sevendays a week. It is important for them to have their harvesters ready for use at all times as everyday counts during the crop season. “Outfalls are especially annoying during the peak season, inparticular during a weekend or a public holiday resulting in losses,” TNT Innight said in astatement. To prevent this, manufacturers of harvesters offer their customers the special servicein cooperation with TNT Innight.
If, for example, a machine breaks down on a Friday afternoon, spare parts can still be orderedlate into the evening to be delivered via night express on Saturday before 8 am. Spare partsshipped in the nights from Saturday to Sunday or from Sunday to Monday also reach their recipientsbefore 8 am. This way, they are available for traders or mechanics already when starting work. Themachines can thereby be repaired in the morning without losing time.
The service provides transportation of individual parcels and loose goods without measure andweight restrictions. The delivery is carried out without a receipt to sites previously defined. Forthis special service, customers provide their corresponding access code to TNT Innight. In Germany,TNT holds 47,000 access codes.
The weekend service increasingly offers a competitive advantage to manufacturers of agriculturalmachines as it reduces the off times of the machines thus having a direct impact on customersatisfaction, TNT added.
