UK courier company CitySprint has been awarded a two-year contract extension with internationalpackaging manufacturer Chesapeake for UK and international deliveries.
CitySprint won the initial contract with Chesapeake via a competitive tender process in 2008.The company produces a wide range of cartons, labels and leaflets, and specialist plastic packagingfor various industries, including pharmaceutical and healthcare, food, drinks and care sectors.
Under the contract extension, which commenced on March 1, 2010, CitySprint will continue makingSameDay deliveries to Chesapeake’s customers across the UK on a daily basis and will also carry outinternational deliveries as and when required.

Our decision to extend the initial contract for a further two years is a result ofthese factors.”
Separately, CitySprint has been appointed as SameDay courier provider for Ashtons HospitalPharmacy based in Brighton, southern England, following a series of urgent deliveries. Ashtons is ahighly respected and successful provider of specialist pharmacy services to independent hospitalsin the UK.
Ashtons first used CitySprint’s services over the Christmas period, firstly on Christmas Evewhen they required an urgent SameDay delivery from their premises in Brighton, East Sussex to apatient at a hospital in Wales, and secondly on Christmas Day to a hospital in Kent. Since then,Ashtons have been so impressed with the service that they have retained CitySprint as their SameDaycourier provider.
