Itella Logistics, which covers the parcel and freight transport activities of Finland’s ItellaGroup, has strengthened its position in Russia with a new LTL service launched in March this
year.In addition to the already provided part- and full-load services, Itella has now startedshipping international groupage consignments to Russia. The LTL service will also include domestictransportation across the whole of Russia later this year.
This latest activity complements Itella’s service portfolio in Russia that now covers all modesof freight transportation including land, air and sea, as well as warehousing with added valueservices. Customs clearance, closely linked to the transport chain, is offered by Itella Logistics’partner, NCB (National Customs Broker), operating at the same premises in Moscow.

The operations of ItellaNLC, the Russian subsidiary of Itella Logistics acquired in 2008, extendfrom Moscow and St. Petersburg to Vladivostok in the far east of the country, not far from Russia’sborder with China and North Korea. The road transport network of the company is based essentiallyon its logistics centres located in all key economic areas of Moscow, St. Petersburg,Yekaterinburg, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok. All these warehouses monitoredaround the clock adhere to TAPA safety standards. The company has also been granted the ISO qualitycertificate.
