FedEx Express Netherlands has launched a new next-business-day delivery service from Friesland andGroningen in the north of the country to the USA and Canada to boost the region’s connectivity to
key international business centres.FedEx Netherlands said the new service will transform the region into an attractivecommercial destination for companies looking to relocate while also strengthening the localeconomy.
The improved transit times are expected to benefit local businesses with internationaloperations in the area allowing customers to do business with the USA and Canada seamlessly.Shipments collected in the afternoon will be delivered the next business day before 10.30 a.m. tomore than 20,000 zip codes across North America. In addition, FedEx Netherlands now also offersend-of-business day delivery to more than 46,000 US zip codes.
As part of these improved services, FedEx Express can also offer customers later pick uptimes of up to three hours. “This will benefit companies in the region by providing greaterflexibility and extending the time they have to accept sales orders from abroad and prepare theirshipments destined for Europe, Asia and the rest of the world,” the company said in a statement.
