The Doncaster-based music store was established in 1982 and has been offering online shoppingsince 2000. With thousands of items shipped nationwide each year, the company has launched a newwebsite with integrated booking and tracking to boost customer service. It is now linked to thenationwide parcel delivery network of APC Overnight with the web technology from NetDespatch.
Mark Taylor, website manager of Electro Music, said the combination of reliable rapid parcelcollection by APC Overnight’s local depot APC Direct Logistics from Electro Music’s warehouse forovernight delivery and innovative web-based technology from NetDespatch underpins Electro Music’semphasis on “good old fashioned customer service”.
APC Direct Logistics has provided the NetDespatch on-demand booking and tracking system tostreamline Electro Music’s distribution and administration. Orders placed before 2 pm each day arequickly processed with the web-based system building manifests and generating the parcel shippinglabels automatically. The system also provides detailed end-to-end traceability of all parcelsgoing through the system.
