Nightline Delivers, Ireland’s largest independent express delivery company, has selected IT firmNetDespatch to provide a software for its secure parcel shipping technology service.
Under the deal, NetDespatch Velocity SaaS (Software as a Service) web services are nowoffered to existing and new customers of Nightline Delivers that ship up to 20 parcels per night.The company delivers up to 40,000 items per night.
The NetDespatch services automate the process of booking, labelling and tracking parcels allover Ireland as well as international deliveries to the United Kingdom. They are fully integratedwith Nightline’s consignment tracking services providing full on-line proof of delivery.
Since implementing the NetDespatch service, Nightline Delivers has been able to significantlyreduce the use of manual consignment notes and has seen an improvement in data accuracy. This inturn has increased delivery efficiency and boosted customer service levels.

We no longer have to re-key information into our parcel management system andthis means we have accurate information entered first time. The system stores electronicconsignment details on line that customers can easily access if required allowing them to trackparcels through our network to their destination, giving them full proof of delivery,” said OrlaSheils, Administration Manager, Nightline Delivers.

Nightline Delivers is working with NetDespatch to further develop the system for automatingreturns from retail chain customers to their warehouses, streamlining administration and providingaccurate electronic records of all shipping transactions.
“By developing the NetDespatch system to handle returns from our retail customers to theirwarehouses and distribution centres, we will be able to offer enhanced levels of service. They willbe able to book a return collection online without having to complete written documentation,manually printing labels or telephoning their local depot. It will save them a lot of time andimprove their returns management processes,” Sheils concluded.
