NetDespatch achieves 100% growth in 2009

NetDespatch records 100% growth in 2009

British technology firm NetDespatch has recorded 100% business growth over the last year thanks tomillions of parcels booked, tracked and delivered through its system each month.

With its Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, the Marlow-based company attracted newcustomers both in the UK and internationally, including Home Delivery Network (HDN), Collect+, NewZealand Post and Nordic Parcels.

“2009 was a very successful year for NetDespatch. Thanks to the hard work of our people and ahigh customer service ethic, our customer base has increased, our revenues have grown substantiallyand we are set for a great year ahead of us. In the light of the economic climate, we could nothave asked for a better end-of-year result. The company is poised for continuing success in 2010,”said NetDespatch CEO Becky Clark.

NetDespatch continues to innovate in order to produce affordable software and web services. The latest addition to its portfolio is an advanced mobile application called Agility. It uses thefull power and seamless integration of the NetDespatch platforms to provide an ‘out of the box’end-to-end multifunctional solution for a fleet of any size. Agility allows users to scan parcelsthroughout the delivery cycle, at point of collection, in the depot, in the hub, onto a deliveryvehicle, as well as capturing signatures and other information at point of delivery. The solutionis highly configurable allowing different users to share the same device for different operationalrequirements.

In December last year, NetDespatch supplied New Zealand Post with an innovative web-basedsystem that automates and simplifies forms for international shipments. Called RedClick, the newservice has revolutionised the production of complex documentation for New Zealand Post customers, saving them hours of paperwork each day.

In addition, NetDespatch made the news in 2009 with a Postal Technology International awardfor SecureScan, a secure parcel delivery system ensuring that goods are only released to authorisedrecipients, reducing at the same time costs associated with failed deliveries and delivery claims. The SecureScan requires two cryptographically paired encoded barcodes to be matched on delivery toconfirm the recipient’s ID, eliminating the need for a hand-written signature and is not only saferbut also more convenient.

“We have demonstrated throughout 2009 that we lead the field in our market by providingcost-effective, easy to implement enterprise strength solutions. We have consistently continued tohelp express delivery and postal companies to deliver the goods, both physically and in terms ofcustomer satisfaction. We look forward to further NetDespatch success in 2010 through continuingproduct innovation,” Clark concluded.

NetDespatch specialises in ‘on-demand’ software that simplifies collection of express parcelsand delivery operations. Its solutions require no up-front investment in hardware or software withthe fully-managed and hosted services accessed via any Internet-linked PC or PDA.
