DPD Ukraine has continued to expand its regional network and services with a new depot, two newwarehouses and improved delivery times.
In Zaporizhia, one of the largest industrial centres in southern Ukraine, DPD opened a newdepot due to the economic and geographic importance of the city. The depot is strategically locatedat the intersection of two major linehaul routes: Moscow-Kharkiv-Simferopol-Zaporizhzhya and KryvyRig-Zaporizhzhya-Donbas. The newly built 190 sqm warehouse has the capacity to sort up to 1,000parcels a day.
DPD Ukraine said the depot provides effective backhaul and handling of freight traffic insouthern and eastern Ukraine delivering parcels and documents to any location within Zaporizhzhya.This way, 100% coverage of the region is ensured. In addition, the Zaporizhzhya depot ensures thedelivery of parcels and freight within 24 hours to cities such as Kiev, Odessa, Mykolayiv, Donetsk,Dnepropetrovsk, Kryvy Rig, Kharkiv in both directions.
“The active expansion of our depot network is an important component for further developmentof our company in Ukraine. Thanks to it, we offer our customers even greater coverage of theUkraine territory for the delivery of parcels and freight while ensuring the traditional highquality DPD standards,” said Oksana Yakovleva, managing director of DPD Ukraine.
Separately, the DPD office in Sumy, northern Ukraine, has moved to a new warehouse to improvereception and delivery of parcels. Moreover, the office in Kryvyi Rih, a major industrial city incentral Ukraine, also moved to a new warehouse centrally located at the crossroads of majortransport interchanges. This provides more convenience for customers to deliver or pick up theirparcels from the terminal, the company stated.
Moreover, DPD Ukraine has improved its delivery times to certain cities. From now on,shipments to Simferopol on the Crimean peninsula are carried out within 24 hours from Kharkov,Donetsk, Zaporozhia, and Dnepropetrovsk as well as from Simferopol to Dnepropetrovsk. FromSimferopol to Kharkov and Donetsk, the delivery takes up to 48 hours.
