UK-based IT firm NetDespatch has supplied New Zealand Post with an innovative web-based system thatautomates and simplifies forms for international shipments.
Called RedClick, the new service is revolutionising the production of complex documentationfor New Zealand Post customers, saving them hours of paperwork each day, NetDespatch said in astatement.
The easy to use web shipping facility automatically produces CN22 and CN23 CustomsDeclaration forms for international shipping, eliminating manual form filling. Using simple webforms, with built-in intelligence to ensure that information is entered correctly, the automatedproduction of the Customs Declaration forms streamlines the whole process. The forms can be printedto either laser or thermal printers. For higher volumes a manual or automated bulk import processis used, with either local or remote printing.
“The big thing was to make lodgement much simpler for customers who send packets and parcelsout of New Zealand by providing them with easy online forms and a system that would guide themthrough the process and actually do much of the form filling. This saves them time and boosts mailroom productivity, allowing staff to get on with other important tasks,” said Kelvin Watson,General Manager Logistics, New Zealand Post.
