DHL is rolling out its day-definite DHL Economy Select service for shipments from Latin America tothe USA, offering up to 20% savings on less-urgent exports.
The economy service, which is already available in other world regions such as Europe andAsia Pacific, is designed for non-time sensitive shipments weighing from 20kg to 1,000 kg. Thetransit times will be 3-days.
DHL Economy Select is now available throughout the Latin American region, includingArgentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panamá, Nicaragua, Costa Rica,Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, DHL Express Americas announced.
The service is primarily targeted at Latin American SMEs exporting to the USA as well asdesigned to supplement existing shipping solutions for large and more complex exporters. Thedoor-to-door service saves up to 20% on shipping costs, according to the company.

DHL Economy Select is designed for non-time critical shipments to the USA, offeringday-definite reliability with e-mail updates and online tracking as well as a transparent ratestructure that includes customs clearance, no hidden fees, door-to-door pick-up and delivery.
Other value-added features include full end-to-end checkpoint visibility, defined transitdays from every origin and destination, simplified administration and paperwork, DHL expertise incustoms clearance, pickup and delivery from a single company along with DHL Express standardliability.
