Itella Logistics today integrated its domestic subsidiaries AW-Store Oy, Kauko Group Oy, and SHWLogistiikka Oy in order to combine domestic warehousing services and foreign transport in one legal
company.“Operating under one name clarifies our operations internally, and in relation to customersand partners. We will also achieve synergy benefits by harmonising administration, systems andprocedures,” said Jarmo Halonen¸ country manager of Itella Logistics Finland.
The merger has no impact on the services provided by Itella Logistics. The contracts of allof the merging companies are transferred to Itella Logistics Oy, and the addresses for offices andcontact people for customers will remain unchanged. Customers will be provided with separatecommunication about the merger.
Part of Itella Group, Itella Logistics provides freight and forwarding, transport anddelivery, and warehousing services as well as comprehensive contract logistics solutions. In 2008,Itella Logistics’ net sales totalled €813 million, and the company has approximately 10,000employees in eight countries (Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia andRussia).
