German parcel firm Hermes Logistik has announced an extension of its successful partnership withthe global marketplace eBay to continue offering simple and favourable delivery solutions to
customers trading with eBay in Germany.Under the new partnership, Hermes will extend its online presence through its own partnerportal on all German eBay websites with immediate effect. Private and business eBay customers canprofit from an extended product and service portfolio in addition to various online tools such asthe cost calculator or printing option for parcel labels.
In addition, the two companies will provide a special sales offer from October 5 – 26, 2009.During this period, eBay customers can benefit from a 25% reduction, and send small items (parcelsize S) for €2.99 instead of €3.99 via Hermes’ shop2shop mode, meaning a pick-up at one Hermesparcel shop and drop-off at another parcel shop.
Due to the increasing customer relations and logistics requirements of professional onlinesellers in e-commerce, Hermes expects further growing popularity of its services and productsthrough the partnership.
