Senior postal, parcel and express industry executives and some 250 exhibitors from Europe andaround the world will meet at the 2009 Post-Expo / Courier and Parcel Logistics Expo in Hannover,
Germany, next month. The economy, new business models, technology and the environment will top theagenda this year.The three-day event, running from September 29 – October 1, combines two exhibitions for theglobal express and parcel delivery services sector and for the international postal, express andmailing industry, along with a major conference. The event will feature three days of criticaldebate, high-level discussion and networking opportunities for all sections of the industry. Over100 leading international experts will debate key issues such as technology, the economy and theenvironment at the conference sessions.
At the World Postal Business Forum, organised by the UPU, top executives will outline howthey are tackling the challenges and opportunities presented by the global recession, with fallingmail and express volumes but parcel growth, climate change and technological developments. Keyspeakers will include Frank Appel (Deutsche Post DHL), Jean-Paul Bailly (La Poste), Massimo Sarmi(Poste Italiane), Claude Béglé (Swiss Post) and Carl Gerold-Mende (Austrian Post). Representativesof Korea Post, CTT Correios, India Post, Hellenic Post, Magyar Posta, Hongkong Post, PostEurop andRoyal Mail will also be among a wide range of speakers.
