TNT today officially opened a PHP15 million (€0.2 million) depot north of the Philippine capital,Manila, to strengthen its infrastructure and services in the country.
The new North Luzon depot, located in San Fernando, Pampanga, is expected to significantlyincrease TNT’s connectivity and presence in Pampanga, particularly in the special economic zones ofSubic and Clark, as well as the rest of Northern Luzon. The depot’s proximity to the Subic, Clark,Angeles, and Bataan economic zones provides the flexibility of extended pick-up and deliverycut-off times.
TNT said that the facility is part of its continued investment in Southeast Asia and isintegral to the company’s plans to build its presence and market reach in the Philippines, andacross the region. Backed up by TNT’s established network in Europe, the Middle East and the restof Asia, customers are easily connected from the Philippines to markets from these regions and therest of the world.

The depot will further improvethe services offered by TNT to its customers in the Philippines and will enhance the connectivityand quality of the TNT Asia air and road network.”
Capable of handling 400 tons of shipments per day, the depot boasts exceptional processingand turnaround of shipments. As a transshipment hub, consignments from neighbouring locators passthrough the depot to be sorted, labelled and consolidated, ready for airline processing. The newdepot is expandable to accommodate heavy freight equipment and machinery and can provide additionalwarehousing to nearby locators, serving as a Forward Stock Locator (FSL) for businesses withdistribution requirements.
The new Pampanga facility boasts an 800 square meter operational area for handling, check-in,Larose label printing, data entry, scanning, bagging, consolidation, and deconsolidationactivities, including a 30 pallet-position selective racking facility ideal for various storagerequirements. CCTV cameras are also installed, making it a 24/7 security-controlled depot. Thefacility is also connected to TNT’s Global Track and Trace systems giving clients the convenienceof knowing the exact location and status of their shipments in real time.

We have significantly invested in this depot with the goal of offering even greatervalue to our customers. TNT Express Worldwide (Philippines) Inc. is based at a 4,300 sqm facility adjacent to Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport and has an available warehouse area of 1,200 sqm. TNTPhilippines employs nearly 400 employees and owns 83 vehicles, and uses capacity on at least 115flights per week. It has other offices in Makati City and on Cebu.
