FedEx Express has continued the worldwide rollout of lower-priced services for less urgentshipments to provide customers with more choices for shipping packages and freight worldwide. Rival
express firms are also adopting the same strategy.All four integrators, FedEx, UPS, DHL and TNT, are currently expanding their cheaper‘economy’ products to more countries around the world as demand for higher-priced premium servicesdeclines due to the recession and cost-cutting by customers. Their main aim is to secure customervolumes rather than lose them to cheaper rivals.
FedEx Express announced that it now offers FedEx International Economy service from more than90 countries and territories and its International Economy Freight service is available from morethan 50 countries and territories. Prior to this global expansion, FedEx InternationalEconomy was offered from 16 countries and territories and FedEx International Economy Freight wasavailable from 13 countries.

Both FedEx International Economy and FedEx International Economy Freight are door-to-door,customs-cleared, time-definite delivery services that reach markets representing more than 90% ofglobal GDP. The services are an economical alternative for less urgent shipments and comewith the same quality, service and reliability expected from FedEx. Key product features includecompetitive rates, delivery typically in 2-5 business days, 24-hour shipment status tracking,customs clearance and money-back guarantee.
The expanded FedEx International Economy and FedEx International Economy Freight servicescomplement the existing FedEx Express international portfolio, which includes FedEx InternationalPriority, FedEx International Priority Freight, FedEx International First and FedEx InternationalNext Flight, designed for more time-sensitive shipments.
