FedEx expands in Asia and Latin America

FedEx has extended its international freight forwarding presence with seven new offices in Asia andLatin America and plans further expansion around the world with own facilities and alliances.



In Asia, the group’s ocean and air freight forwarding company, FedEx Trade Networks, hasopened new facilities in Singapore, Taiwan, and in Qingdao, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, China.These new offices support the company’s international air freight forwarding operations and providecomprehensive coverage in key Asia-Pacific trade lanes. In Latin America, the company opened an airand ocean forwarding office in São Paulo, Brazil.

These openings support the company’s continuing global freight forwarding expansion plans,which include opening additional facilities and establishing alliances throughout Asia, Europe, theMiddle East, Africa and Latin America, the group announced. FedEx Trade Networks, part of FedExExpress and with more than 3,300 employees, already opened flagship Asia air freight forwardingoperations in Hong Kong and Shanghai last year.

Customer benefits will include enhanced global freight forwarding services, end-to-endmultimodal solutions, better regional access to specific services such as international directdistribution and increased access to the FedEx global network.
