FedEx has launched a new next-business-day shipping solution before 8:30 a.m. for specific areas inMexico complementing its service range for domestic express shipments in the country.
The new service is operated by FedEx Express Nacional, the company’s domestic overnight unitin the country. It provides the option of earlier delivery, available from August 3, 2009, forspecific zip codes in the following six states in Mexico: Guanajuato, Jalisco, Nuevo Leon, San LuisPotosi, State of Mexico and Mexico City. Customers will be able to track the status of theirshipments online as well as enjoy the FedEx Money-Back Guarantee, FedEx Express said in astatement.
With this new service option, FedEx provides a more complete portfolio of its domesticnext-business-day services in Mexico that will meet a range of needs in the country’s marketplace.The complete FedEx Express Nacional portfolio now includes the next-business-day delivery fordocuments and parcels weighing up to 68kg by 8:30 a.m and 10:30 as well as by the end of thebusiness day.
FedEx Express Nacional shipments can be prepared and tracked online, where the customer willalso find a complete suite of e-business tools providing businesses with total control of theshipping process. It includes real-time tracking, and other features that slash the time needed toprepare items for shipping
Mexico is the first country in Latin America to offer a FedEx domestic shipping service. LastFebruary, the company opened a new operations center in San Luis Potosà in addition to its TolucaMultiplex facility for domestic shipments.
FedEx said that it continues to invest in its operations and infrastructure to providegreater access to its domestic service in Mexico and has recently opened four new World ServiceCenters (WCS) in Mexico City and San Luis PotosÃ.
