FedEx expands customer service centre in China

FedEx expands service centre in Wuhan

FedEx Express has officially opened its expanded customer service centre in Wuhan, China, to assistcustomers using international express and domestic time-definite services.



The company currently has three customer service centres in Beijing, Guangzhou and Wuhan.

The Wuhan customer service centre in Central China was originally established in May 2007when FedEx launched domestic services in the country. It was previously designed to serve customersusing domestic and time-definite delivery service. Through the expansion, 95 local customer servicerepresentatives have been added to assist customers using international service in east Chinabringing the total number of representatives to more than 200.

“At FedEx Express, we continually improve our services to meet our customers’ needs,” saidEddy Chan, senior vice president, FedEx China. “We are expanding our customer service center inWuhan to enhance customer experience.”

Now the FedEx Wuhan customer service centre is responsible for handling two FedEx toll-freeinternational and domestic customer service hotlines respectively available six days a week.

The FedEx customer service representatives, who are mostly locally-hired, manage all aspectsof customer shipments, from pick-up to delivery to the consignee’s doorstep. The new centre has thecapacity to expand in accordance with business development, FedEx China said in a statement.

“Not only have we increased the number of our customer service representatives in the Wuhancall centre so that we can better serve our customers, we have upgraded our telephone system, whichwill improve the overall customer experience when calling for assistance.,” said Vickie Chu,managing director of Customer Service, FedEx China.
