Dutch Air Cargo to expand in-night services between Liege Airport and Spain

Dutch Air Cargo (DAC) has announced the expansion of its premium and in-night services betweenLiege Airport and Madrid, Spain, through a joint venture with MiniLiner.



DAC started a new international air connection on June 3, 2009, operated by MiniLiner, with aFokker 27 which has a payload of 6 tons, in co-operation with various cargo companies in theBenelux states. The contracts between DAC and cargo companies were officially signed earlier thisyear.

In the statement, the company says that it has the ambition to station a second Fokker 27-50at Liege Airport or in Germany for a new destination later this year. These new destinations willbe link with the current domestic lines.

DAC is active within the niche market, especially the in-night market, but also offers othercargo services. The company’s in-night service provides a network for fast delivery of goods, SameDay or Next Day. Door-to-door is also offered from Madrid throughout Spain, enabling deliveriesbefore 8.30h, and even with a connection to parts of Portugal making possible deliveries before11.00h.

MiniLiner s.r.l., the strategic partner of DAC, runs 10 aircraft and more than 26 dailyflights in Europe and in the Mediterranean area. In 2006 MiniLiner transported 19,700 tons of mailand express goods and had a turnover of €22 million.
