DPD has extended its service range in the Baltics with a new online solution enabling privatecustomers in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to choose the delivery time of their shipment in an
individual and flexible way. With the addition of the Baltic states, the service solution is now offered in ten Europeancountries for customers whose shipments cannot be delivered the first time in case of absence.Through a special customised online portal, they can choose round-the-clock between different timeoptions for a repeated delivery. In addition, the parcel can be delivered to a different addressthan the one previously indicated, e.g. at the work place of the customer.
The new delivery portal was developed by DPD Austria and is also available in Germany,Denmark, Switzerland and the Benelux countries. Through the geographical extension of the service, shippers profit in the same way as recipients, business and private customers. For example, shippers from Germany can now cooperate with their customers in the Baltics in a more convenientway offering them more options and services when it comes to delivery.
It is also possible to order a new delivery via a phone call. If the customer does not usethe option of determining the time for a repeated delivery, maximum three delivery attempts will beaffected, DPD said in a statement.
