Regional courier operator Addax WLL will take over management of Bahrain Air’s cargo operationsfrom June 1 under a commercial agreement signed on May 19.
Bahrain Air is a privately-owned budget airline launched in 2008 which flies from Bahrain tovarious destinations in the Middle East, Indian sub-continent and Africa. It currently operates afleet of five A319/A320 aircraft, and is due to take delivery of four more this year. Addax, alsobased in Bahrain, offers courier, express and international freight forwarding services.
The agreement between the two companies was signed at Bahrain Air head office by IbrahimAlhamer, Managing Director of Bahrain Air, and Hussain Alsaegh, owner and director of Addax.
The Bahrain Air chief expressed his optimism about the agreement, adding that this venture isin line with the airline’s strategy of diversifying and introducing innovative ideas to meet thecustomer demand at affordable rates. Alsaegh thanked Bahrain Air and its team for the confidenceshown in his company and said he is looking forward to a long term mutually beneficialrelationship.
