TNT Innight has announced the expansion of its cooperation with the Fiat Group Automobiles toregional after sales logistics in Southern Germany.
Following the reorganisation of Fiat Automobiles Germany AG and CHN, two companies belongingto the Fiat Group, TNT Innight has handled the after sales logistics for Fiat throughout SouthernGermany with effect from April 2009.
The Fiat spare parts storage for Southern Germany has recently been moved from Vatry, France,to Heidelberg, Germany. TNT Innight now picks up shipments at the departure point in Heidelbergdistributing them throughout Southern Germany in the morning before 6 am, 7 am or 8 am. Based onthe cooperation, the overnight express company will offer an additional Same Day delivery servicefor Fiat starting in May.
Wolfgang Burgfeld, General Manager Vertical Markets of TNT Innight, said: “Traders benefitfrom the late pick-up of TNT Innight as their logistics processes are simplified through anextended time to place orders. They also have necessary spare parts ready at their repair shop inthe morning, which is essential in a so-called car-down situation.”
TNT Innight already provides delivery to a large number of traders and factories in SouthernGermany which enables efficient delivery of the spare parts to defined and already known deliverypoints, the company said in a statement.
