DHL Germany streamlines domestic express products

DHL Germany has streamlined its product and service portfolio for domestic express shipments toimprove services for business customers.



Through the new possibility of combining individual products with optional services, DHL saidthat it has considerably simplified access to DHL Express solutions for customers. As part of thesustainability strategy of Deutsche Post DHL, the carbon neutral GoGreen delivery service is nowalso offered for express shipments.

Four basic products form the basis of the streamlined portfolio. These are DHL DomesticExpress for deliveries in the course of the day and the three solutions for time-definite morningdeliveries: DHL Domestic Express 9:00, 10:00 and 12:00.

“We are offering our customers more transparency and more flexible solutions for thetransportation of especially urgent shipments – fully in tune with our Strategy 2015 and thepromise we gave to our customers to simplify services and provide sustainable solutions. This alsocomprises a stronger focus on different industries when it comes to customer service,” saidWolfgang Albeck, managing director DHL Express Germany.

In addition, DHL Express provides other options for special requirements of differentsectors. These include DHL Officepack for shipping of documents up to 3,000g, DHL Valuepack forconsignments of valuables, DHL Express Ident for authorised receipt of sensitive shipments and thecash on delivery service.

Further pick-up and delivery options can be ordered additionally, along with transportinsurance up to €25,000 and the service “carriage forward” meaning that the recipient has to bearthe transportation costs. Moreover, the handling of a waybill was simplified and the number ofgusseted wallets reduced to two formats only.
