Time:matters offers same-day deliveries from Milan

German-based same-day express firm time:matters is expanding its European same-day route network toinclude direct connections from Milan by cooperating with newly-launched Lufthansa Italia.



The same-day service is initially available from Milan to Barcelona and Paris, and will beextended to further destinations, including London Heathrow, Madrid, Lisbon, Brussels, Budapest andBucharest, by the end of April 2009.

Lufthansa Italia is a new passenger airline founded by Lufthansa to serve the northernItalian market following the large-scale withdrawal of Alitalia from Milan Malpensa airport as partof its restructuring. The German-owned airline has been operating several daily flights from Milanto the two European cities since the beginning of February.

Not only companies based in Lombardy, the economically strong Italian region that serves asthe motor of industrialised northern Italy, stand to benefit from the new direct connections. Theexpanded network will also serve as a great advantage to other customers. For example, thetransport time for a same-day shipment from Milan to Paris is reduced from seven to merely threehours, time:matters pointed out.

Franz-Joseph Miller, CEO of time:matters, explained: “We satisfy the increasing demand forquick and flexible European transport connections by continually expanding our European same-daynetwork. Furthermore, this partnership enables us to present ourselves on the key Italian market asa strong partner for highly urgent or complex transport solutions.”

time:matters uses the air networks of Lufthansa, its Star Alliance partners and otherairlines such as Air Berlin to offer urgent transportation to about 400 destinations in 90countries, as well as Deutsche Bahn’s high-speed rail services within Germany. It has beengradually expanding its branch network throughout Europe in recent years.
