DHL Express is introducing a new premium time-definite service for inbound shipments to extend itsproduct portfolio. The service is initially available from Asia and Europe to the Middle East, and
will be rolled out worldwide during this year.Building on its recently strengthened international network and optimised routingcapabilities, DHL Express has launched DHL IMPORT EXPRESS 12:00. The service assures an inbounddelivery by noon for vital deliveries from major cities, towns and business centres, withtransportation charges met by the receiver.
Initially available from major centres in Europe and Asia to the Middle East, the productwill be rolled out globally throughout the year and offers a full money-back guarantee in theunlikely event of a late delivery, DHL Express announced.
Reliable deliveries, lead times and greater flexibility are key requirements for the expressbusiness, driven by growing supply chain networks, shorter product life cycles, reduced inventoriesand the dynamics of changing customer demand, the company pointed out.
Roland Thomas, DHL Express’ Global Vice President Product Development, explained: “Ourcustomers from across all industries have asked for more flexibility to enable them to improvetheir transport efficiency. We are happy to say that DHL’s inbound Time Definite guaranteedservices take into consideration the growing demand for greater choice in services while alsoimproving the shipping experience for those customers. Moreover, customers choosing a pre-noondelivery can now be assured that DHL will get it there on time or they can have their full moneyback.”
From documents to heavier parcel shipments, customers only need to call their local DHLCustomer Service hotline or use one of DHL’s many online shipping tools to choose their preferredtime of delivery.
In addition to DHL IMPORT EXPRESS 12:00 and DHL IMPORT EXPRESS WORLDWIDE for deliverygenerally by 18:00hrs, DHL Express plans to further extend its Import Express product range toinclude pre 9:00 deliveries in selected markets.
