TNT Express has again supported the European Film Awards this year as the event’s official carrierfor the twelfth year in succession.
Over the past few months, TNT Express has delivered copies of the 44 entries for the 2008European Film Awards to the 1,850 members of the European Film Academy across Europe.
The company also transported the 19 statuettes from the famous jeweller Theo Fennell inLondon to the Forum in Copenhagen where the award ceremony took place on 6 December. Around 1,500guests were expected to attend the 21st European Film Award including the Danish Crown Princecouple, Frederik and Mary, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
Following the ceremony, TNT Express is now responsible for taking the statuettes back,keeping them safe until they have been engraved and delivering them to the laureates afterwards.The stars include among others the actress Judi Dench who is well known for her role as “M” in thelatest James Bond films. She won a lifetime achievement award in Copenhagen.

But inreality, the precious statuettes require special packaging and need to be handled with great careduring transport. And we at TNT are the specialists for that – and, of course, for their reliableand timely delivery.”
