DPWN, DHL name new executives

Several senior executive changes were announced at Deutsche Post World Net and DHL Express duringOctober.



Deutsche Post World Net appointed Christof Ehrhart (42) as Head of Corporate Communicationsas of March 1, 2009. He will succeed Manfred Harnischfeger (64) who will retire as of June 30, 2009but remain a consultant to the company. Ehrhart, currently Head of Global Corporate Communicationsfor aerospace group EADS, will be in charge of Group-wide internal and external communications,corporate sponsoring and worldwide brand management, reporting directly to CEO Frank Appel.

Jens Bruno has been appointed as the Environmental Programs Manager for DHL Express Europe.One of the architects of DHL’s carbon neutral shipping service, Bruno will be responsible fordriving the GoGreen climate protection program across DHL Express Europe.  GoGreen, a DeutschePost World Net group-wide climate protection program aims to increase CO2 emission efficiency by30% by the year 2020. “The environment matters and while reducing carbon from transports ischallenging, it can be done and in many cases it can even reduce costs,” Bruno said.

In France, Anne Germain has been named DHL Express Vice-President Hubs and Gateways. She willmanage the company’s air express operations at Paris CDG, Lyon, Mulhouse and Paris-Vatry airports,and be responsible for air express-related activities at other French airports.
