DHL Express opens new EUR 4.5m terminal in NW Poland

DHL Express has invested €4.5 million in a new terminal in Solec Kujawski in north-western Polandto expand its network in the fast-growing market.



The new 3,600 sqm terminal will be capable of handling up to 10,000 packages per day. It has18 gates for lorries to unload, and has automated sorting equipment with capacity to handle 2,500items per hour.

The new facility, with 200 employees, offers international and domestic express deliveryservices and is located at a strategic point on the route between the ports of Gdansk and Gydnia,and the northern-west commercial centre of Poznan.

“The dynamic development of a market for express services attracts us to continue to investin the development of a national logistics network,” said Igor Caban, Vice President, BusinessOperations for DHL Express Poland. “The Solec Kujawski terminal is the first of a series of newobjects of this type, which we plan to open within the next two years.”
