TNT Express has recently opened its new operational facilities close to the Dubai InternationalAirport providing more connectivity to the main routes.
TNT’s new premises processing upwards of 35,000 shipments per week, offer more space forsortation and for the delivery fleet as well as increase cargo and heavy freight capacity for roadand air services. The facility also gives TNT more room for future expansion with the ability toservice more areas before 9am, 10am and 12pm enhanced by the connectivity. The new main hub forlocal market road collections outside Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi is expected to process hundreds ofthousands of kilos per month into TNT’s road and air networks.
Bryan Moulds, Country General Manager TNT, commented: “In order to cater for increased demandfor services and future expected growth, it has been necessary to expand our facilities. We havetaken a strategic decision to open new premises and gave a lot of attention in the selection of theperfect location that would offer excellent links to both the Dubai International Airport and mainarterial routes such as the Emirates highway and Al Itihad roads.”
Mark Gunton, managing director at TNT America Middle East and Africa, stated: “TNT has beenleading the market in terms of growth, with shipment numbers in excess of 70% over the previousyear. The growth looks set to continue with new facilities in Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi and the newWorld Central airport as phase two of TNT’s multimillion dollar investment strategy.”
