Business Direct Group

Business Direct Group, the British in-night distribution provider and operator of “intelligentdrop-box” logistics solution, has been trialling ParcelXchange with Ciblex, the leading pre-8am

parts delivery provider in France, in order to extend its network into Europe.

Less than a year after Business Direct decided to offer national Post Offices and locallogistics service providers outside the UK access to its intelligent advanced technology,ParcelXchange provides Ciblex’s customers the benefit of 24/7 convenience, with completely secureand controlled access for both the collecting and returning of goods through the Ciblex deliverynetwork. The specific nature of the new modular style ParcelXchange offers the potential to have asmany different configurations as each of the individual locations within the Ciblex network needs.

“We have produced a cost effective, sustainable, flexible solution for the ‘last mile’ in thedelivery process,” said Business Direct’s ParcelXchange Worldwide MD, Tim Houstoun. “Ciblex now hasthe opportunity for an even greater competitive advantage in their B2B marketplace for deliveriesand managing returns and in developing a network of ParcelXchanges, can also engage in using thesystem network for other B2C and consumer to consumer (C2C) services.”

After researching the supplier market, Ciblex, formerly part of the successful Hays Group ofcompanies, recognised the dynamic capability and benefits of the ParcelXchange modular lockersystem as a perfect solution to complement their existing network.

“The new modular intelligent ParcelXchange is the most exciting opportunity to happen in thein-night real-time inventory management sector in France for a long time,” Teddy Megarbane, CiblexPresident, stated. “This is another example of Ciblex continuous investment in the business andthis innovative new modular locker system with its SoftLocker ATM style technology, supplied byParcelXchange Worldwide, will ensure we are well positioned to constantly meet the growing needs ofour customers”.

Ciblex already has over 400 locations with key lockers but feels that the addition of realtime reporting and secure ATM access will help their existing B2B business and also with their B2Cbusiness. The company believes that the ParcelXchanges will provide a cost-effective consolidationof the deliveries, while maintaining their already high levels of customer service. It also adds adynamic and innovative solution to give them competitive advantage within their growing supplychain capability.
