FedEx Express ranked among Germany’s most customer-friendly companies

FedEx Express has been selected as one of the most customer-friendly companies in Germany withinthe “Germany’s customer champions 2008” contest commissioned by the University of St.Gallen, the

German newspaper Handelsblatt, Steria Mummert Consulting and ServiceRating.

FedEx was ranked number 30 among more than 100 companies participating in the contest andreceived a special award as the most customer-friendly company in the logistics and transportcategory. According to the study, FedEx was selected based on its high customer orientation andcommunications excellence as well as its strong focus on choice and motivation of both employeesand partners.

The competition consisted of a multilevel process –self-evaluation by the management, acustomer survey and a separate assessment through experts. All German service companies with atleast 50 employees were invited to participate.

“We see the award as confirmation for being on the right path with our “customer experience”strategy aiming at the development of our customer service,” said Michael Mühlberger, FedEx ExpressVice President Operations Central and Eastern Europe.

FedEx Express has won a number of customer service awards in recent years. FedEx has beenranked the best express company in the American Customer Satisfaction Index for the past 11 years.
