Major Spanish domestic express carrier MRW has opened yet another four franchises in the countryand launched a new service on the island of Menorca as part of its expansion strategy.
The new outlets are one each in Barcelona, Badajoz (Extremadura), in Segorbe (Valencia) andVillajoyosa (Alicante), bringing its total number of branches to 811 in Spain, Gibraltar, Andorraand Portugal.
With the new franchise in Barcelona, MRW now has 94 outlets in the Barcelona region,including 30 in the centre of the Catalan metropolis.
In addition, MRW introduced a new transport service providing express delivery of livinganimals to and from the island of Menorca at the beginning of this month. This service is one ofthe few of its kind in Europe and is supported by the Council of Menorca. MRW has providedtransportation of live animals within mainland Spain and to/from Majorca since 1999.
MRW is one of Spain’s fastest-growing couriers, with over 10,000 staff, 5,000 vehicles andrevenues growing by nearly 9%.
