DPD Switzerland and trade unions have agreed on a 1.7% wage rise with effect from 1st January,2008.
According to the agreement, all employees of DPD and employees of its subcontractors willreceive a rise of 1.7%, including 0.8% to cover inflation and a 0.9% actual wage increase. Inaddition, there will be a further 0.5% on an individual basis.
DPD Switzerland said it is the only private supplier within the CEP industry that has anoverall contract of employment with trade unions.
In addition, DPD has lowered the weekly working hours for delivery drivers to 43 hours,whereas all other employees remain with 42 hours per week. Delivery and depot staff will in futurereceive five weeks of holidays.
