TNT CEO Peter Bakker and TNT Express managing director Marie-Christine Lombard will be re-appointedto their positions for a further four years until 2012, it was announced yesterday.
The company’s supervisory board said that in accordance with the Corporate Governance Code,it would notify the company’s AGM of its intention to re-appoint Peter Bakker as CEO and member ofthe Board of Management and Marie-Christine Lombard as member of the Board of Management, both fora new four-year term. Their present contracts run until this year.
Meanwhile, TNT’s supervisory board chairman Jan Hommen will step down later this year in linewith the Dutch corporate governance code, and be replaced by Piet Klaver, former chairman of SHVHoldings.
TNT also announced yesterday that it has completed a second EUR 100 million tranche of itsongoing share buyback programme. A total of 11,034,904 repurchased shares would be cancelled aspart of the programme.
